And on the floor with her taggy ball
And some random on-the-living-room-floor action:
I'm so happy to be 8 months old!!
I'm not crawling yet, but I'm working on it. Practice makes perfect, right?
Ooh....a toy!
Almost...got....it....
Gotta practice my look....is it Blue Steel? Magnum?
So what's new with Ms. Adeline lately?
Favorite Food: Watermelon
Least favorite food: Sweet Potatoes
Favorite Toy: Her taggy ball (see above)
Favorite non-toy: A pop-up travel foldable hairbrush (looks like this)
Favorite new trick: Getting up on her hands and knees
Number of teeth: two (bottom center)
Most annoying habit: Stealing the shopping list out of our hands and eating it, OR--screaming bloody murder if we don't let her eat said list.
Cutest habit: Ummm...everything?Actually, our current favorite is how she loves to kiss her reflection.
Some 4th of July pics! Here is Addie helping us clean the house in preparation for the BBQ:
We dressed Addie in her WonderWoman onesie because it was the most patriotic outfit she had (we weren't very prepared)
Luckily, our wonderful neighbor Christiana who also gave Addie her Valentine's day bib brought over a flag for Addie to play with as well as the cool rubber ducky who we named Michael Flanagan (long story--but here's a winky smile for the only person reading the blog who would think that's funny;)
Our good friend Janine came over to play this week and Addie had a BLAST with her. (for those of you who were at our wedding, Janine was the one with the amazing voice who sang at the ceremony)
In other news...we're packing Addie up in a box and sending her to Egypt.
So we're moving about 10 minutes down the road near our friends Joe and Renelle. So if anyone LOVES packing boxes, please let us know. Delicious, healthy home-cooked meals and slobbery kisses from a little peanut will be showered upon you.

or if they'd rather work in the bookstore i'd trade and pack boxes - get healthy meals and get slobbery kisses from said peanut (when doyou need me) and by the way she is without a doubt the most cutest baby in the world!
ps - i love the bow in her hair for the glider shots - how long did it last? she doesn't have it on the floor shot :-) PS when you enlarge the 1st shot you can see her tootie pegs!
I can't believe she is 8 months already! Her funny faces crack me up.
you know, toys completely baffle me. I feel like Im going to be a horrible parent whenever i am in toy aisles and all the primary colors just give me a huge headache. You must tell me what toys you would recommend otherwise my poor child may grow up playing with one single wooden colorless toy....
PS: Addie's blue steel look cracked me up for a good few minutes :-)
Cuteness... cuteness... cuteness. I cannot wait to see her in person in August. What a cutie. Love the expression of determination on her face--eyebrow raised--when reaching for the toy. You are both incredibly cute, love the smile on your face in the 4 of July photo. Wish I were the special individual who understands the Flanagan joke... even though I don't understand it, I still think it's funny. Michael Flanagan the rubber ducky.
Oh Christina, in the grand tradition of kid's liking the box the toy comes in better than the toy themselves, you'll be baffled at what can become a toy to your little one. An empty toilet paper tube. A wooden back massager. A cell phone (though we try and avoid that as she is quite good at getting things sufficiently wet and drooly).
toilet paper tube: check
cell phone: check
wooden back massager: to acquire.
i can also offer the little one an array of books to tear apart, fancy sofa cushions on which to drool and generally destroy, and all else fails there will always be my currently long hair to pull out. :-)
Happy 8 month Birthday!
