1, 2, 3, 4. 4 months old! Ah ah ah.

Addie turned 4 months old last Monday! She had a check-up and weighed in at a whopping 15 lbs (75% for her weight in her age group) and 26 inches (90% for her height in her age group!). Who knew?

She also rolled over by herself for the first time, yesterday! Watch out world, here comes mobile Addie....

Look, I can stand!...with a little assistance...

Most of the photos we took had her hands in her mouth, one or both, it doesn't matter, they just taste SOOOO good.

She's our gigglepie :)

Steve and his brother Doug have baby photos with a blanket over their head, so we re-created it here with the newest Silvestro.

Perhaps Addie will be a ballet dancer?

Laughing at her silly ol' daddy

Addie's sooo happy that the weather is warming up and we can spend more time outside!

Addie has been grabbing her toes for a month now, but it still makes for diaper changing fun.

"You, mini-man, takin' on the jellies. You've got serious thrill issues, dude. Awesome."

Contemplating the solution to world peace. Or...whirled peas.

Whatchu lookin' at??? Spitting up is cool, oKAY?

Hugs with mommy.

Cuddles with Daddy.

Life is good, friends, life is really good :)

Addie on the Road

First Grandma S came to visit us, and then we took a weekend road trip that felt like we were gone for a week because we hit so many places! Addie got a lot of lovin' and we had a lot of fun. Here are some of the highlights!

The Grams loves up Adeloo.

Addie--the new poster-child for an anti-landmine campaign:

Piggy back ride!

After the g-ma visit, we headed up to NJ. Ads shows how happy she is to be in Hamilton by flashing a cute lil' grin.

Papi putting Addie through some calisthenics. Today she was SO close to rolling from back to tummy...coincidence? I think not.

I took a side trip to the Jersey shore for my friend Beth's bridal shower. Here's Beth with her sister Meghan and Meghan's adorable daughter, Abby.

Ad-zooks!

After spending time with the g-parents, we headed north to visit Uncle Doug and Aunt Alli.

We loved visiting them! Addie slept SO well at their house, we may just have to ship her up there so she can learn how to sleep through the night.

On our way back to DC, we stopped in PA to visit Jodi, Chris and the now 7.5 month old Shannon. Shannon is SO grown up now--she can sit on her own and does this cool lunge-for-objects action and is eating solids. We can't imagine Addie doing all that, but it'll only be a few short months before we're posting about such cool things.

Jodi and I like playing "baby switch" the minute we walk in the door.

The daddy's playing with the babies.

Phew, all that traveling tired the little one out!

(And us, too. Off to bed!)

Smiles abound

I think I found my favorite picture of them all.

This outfit is too cute not to do a quick modeling shoot.

She is, indeed, treasured.

Everything goes in Addie's mouth these days. We found her munching on her playmat's mirror!

This little elephant is her favorite chew toy of them all. The trunk goes in her mouth oh so nicely

She's becoming such a ham for the camera!

Who does Addie look like?

So along with the question "is she sleeping through the night yet?" (you know better than to ask me that in person. For the answer, read the previous post) many people ask "which of you does she look like more?" Well, it's kind of hard to tell since Steve and I don't currently look like a bald little baby, so I figured that finding old photos of us when we were Addie's age or close could help settle the score.

So...what do you think? There aren't that many baby photos of us on the computer, so I tried to my best to pick ones that I thought were comparable angles.

Here's Stevo on the left and a younger Addie on the right.

This is me (monica) on the left when I was a little'un, and that's Addie on the right.

Please vote in the poll below!

A few more photos of the peanut:

What do you want from me, Senor duckie?

If you know Steve, you've seen this face before ;)

I know why mom's get the "mom haircut"!

I get it now. I always wondered why moms always seem to get shorter and shorter haircuts.

Well, since Addie started sucking on her fists as if she got paid a full time salary for her efforts, the fact that she was pulling my hair out in chunks didn't seem so innocent anymore--I was worried she was eating my hair! That just can't be good for digestion.

So...in time-honored traditions of moms everywhere, I got a short haircut.

Here is before:

And here is after:

All bundled up to head out for lunch with her little friend Anne, et al.

The answer to everyone's question is: No, she's not sleeping through the night yet. And neither are we.

Addie has recently learned that she can actually bring things to her mouth with her hands. Here she is trying to French kiss Winnie the Pooh.

Bath-time is so much fun because adorable hooded towels triple the cuteness factor.

Post-bath-time cuddling with Daddy.

Addie loves imitating us, which is so much fun. Here she shows us "oooh" which, as you all know, is her favorite sound nowadays. Ooompa Loompa...

"I'm so happy I could throw up!"

Eww......

I love this picture because you can see her delicious sumo wrestler legs..and it looks like she's saying...

BYE!!

Happy Valentines Day!

Addie is full of smiles and love for everyone of you out there on this day of love!

A wet smooch for you!

Mmm...my hand tastes better than those conversation hearts. Be Mine!

Happy Valentines Day, everyone!!! :)

Guess who is 3 months old now!!

Um...is anyone else shocked that Addie is already 3 months old, or is it just me? Sure, it's hard to remember life without her, but 3 whole months?!?!??!

We spent her birthday cleaning, shopping (we got the model's featured outfit at Old Navy), and getting ice cream at the Dairy Godmother (flavor of the day: Tollhouse Cookie) with Uncle Dan, Grandma Eva, and our friends Jessica and Fraser.

Today was 3-month photo-shoot day and these were some of the faves: (sorry, there are a lot, I promise I narrowed it down--she just had so many smiles today!!)

What's making Addie smile so much lately? Well, she's kind of bored of me making "munching sounds" which so entranced her as a 2 month old (she's SO over that).

She's now a big fan of any song with the sound "ooo" in it. So there's a lot of singing of "Oompa Loompa" and "Duke Duke Duke, Duke of Earl Earl Earl" and just the word "Agoo" seems to delight the little one.
