Visitors galore!

This week Addie had a lot of visitors--the first of the bunch came all the way from California--her great aunt Judy and cousin Noa (Noa is my (Monica's) first cousin, so we're thinking she's Addie's second cousin, or second cousin once removed, whatever it's called...why "removed" has to be in the title, we don't know, so we're just saying second cousin, or "super cool cousin" if you want to be official).

Here Addie is helping me get the house ready by cheering me on to get those dishes done.

Keep cleaning, mama, Daddy and I are going to have some couch time, kay? (just kidding feminists of the blog readership, Steve helped tons, I promise.)

They're here! Noa and Grandma Eva cuddling with Adeloo.

Addie has always loved her Grandma's voice--ever since the hour she was born!

Great Aunt Judy telling Addie all about the great artists of the world.

Addie's great uncle Alex and another super cool second cousin Deanna (both local) also stopped by to say hi.

Addie's eyelashes are SO long now--not sure if you can tell, but I think this picture shows it the best.

In other news--we got a new baby carrier called a "moby wrap"--Addie loves it! And see the bib? No, she's not eating solid foods quite yet, but she's become such a drooler that this is the only way we can keep her clothes dry!

Our friend Tamlynn and her adorable daughter Lily came over to meet Addie. Lily promised that in 10 years, she'll be Addie's baby sitter. You can see how much Addie admired Lily, so I think they'll also be friends!

Addie loved all her visitors so much! "Wait, you're all leaving already?"

Playdate!

Our friends Rosanne and Rob are the parents of three wonderful children: Lila, Pearl, and the newest member of the family--little Elijah--who is just 10 days younger than Addie!

Today Elijah and Addie met for the very first time

The little ones listening to Steve read "Bear Snores On."

Elijah's sweet smile

Addie telling Elijah a story

They had so much fun, one of the two little peanuts fell asleep (the other one fell asleep on the car ride home)

Dear Lila and Pearl, I'm SO excited to meet you in the near future! Love, Addie

1, 2, 3, 4. 4 months old! Ah ah ah.

Addie turned 4 months old last Monday! She had a check-up and weighed in at a whopping 15 lbs (75% for her weight in her age group) and 26 inches (90% for her height in her age group!). Who knew?

She also rolled over by herself for the first time, yesterday! Watch out world, here comes mobile Addie....

Look, I can stand!...with a little assistance...

Most of the photos we took had her hands in her mouth, one or both, it doesn't matter, they just taste SOOOO good.

She's our gigglepie :)

Steve and his brother Doug have baby photos with a blanket over their head, so we re-created it here with the newest Silvestro.

Perhaps Addie will be a ballet dancer?

Laughing at her silly ol' daddy

Addie's sooo happy that the weather is warming up and we can spend more time outside!

Addie has been grabbing her toes for a month now, but it still makes for diaper changing fun.

"You, mini-man, takin' on the jellies. You've got serious thrill issues, dude. Awesome."

Contemplating the solution to world peace. Or...whirled peas.

Whatchu lookin' at??? Spitting up is cool, oKAY?

Hugs with mommy.

Cuddles with Daddy.

Life is good, friends, life is really good :)

Addie on the Road

First Grandma S came to visit us, and then we took a weekend road trip that felt like we were gone for a week because we hit so many places! Addie got a lot of lovin' and we had a lot of fun. Here are some of the highlights!

The Grams loves up Adeloo.

Addie--the new poster-child for an anti-landmine campaign:

Piggy back ride!

After the g-ma visit, we headed up to NJ. Ads shows how happy she is to be in Hamilton by flashing a cute lil' grin.

Papi putting Addie through some calisthenics. Today she was SO close to rolling from back to tummy...coincidence? I think not.

I took a side trip to the Jersey shore for my friend Beth's bridal shower. Here's Beth with her sister Meghan and Meghan's adorable daughter, Abby.

Ad-zooks!

After spending time with the g-parents, we headed north to visit Uncle Doug and Aunt Alli.

We loved visiting them! Addie slept SO well at their house, we may just have to ship her up there so she can learn how to sleep through the night.

On our way back to DC, we stopped in PA to visit Jodi, Chris and the now 7.5 month old Shannon. Shannon is SO grown up now--she can sit on her own and does this cool lunge-for-objects action and is eating solids. We can't imagine Addie doing all that, but it'll only be a few short months before we're posting about such cool things.

Jodi and I like playing "baby switch" the minute we walk in the door.

The daddy's playing with the babies.

Phew, all that traveling tired the little one out!

(And us, too. Off to bed!)

Smiles abound

I think I found my favorite picture of them all.

This outfit is too cute not to do a quick modeling shoot.

She is, indeed, treasured.

Everything goes in Addie's mouth these days. We found her munching on her playmat's mirror!

This little elephant is her favorite chew toy of them all. The trunk goes in her mouth oh so nicely

She's becoming such a ham for the camera!

Who does Addie look like?

So along with the question "is she sleeping through the night yet?" (you know better than to ask me that in person. For the answer, read the previous post) many people ask "which of you does she look like more?" Well, it's kind of hard to tell since Steve and I don't currently look like a bald little baby, so I figured that finding old photos of us when we were Addie's age or close could help settle the score.

So...what do you think? There aren't that many baby photos of us on the computer, so I tried to my best to pick ones that I thought were comparable angles.

Here's Stevo on the left and a younger Addie on the right.

This is me (monica) on the left when I was a little'un, and that's Addie on the right.

Please vote in the poll below!

A few more photos of the peanut:

What do you want from me, Senor duckie?

If you know Steve, you've seen this face before ;)
