Big updates!

Addie is officially one month old now and she is becoming more and more of a fun little baby every day! She met her grandfather Gabor, celebrated her first Hanukkah, saw her first snow, and had her first real bath! It's been a big week! Here are some new photos:

Monica here. Addie is a little fussy this morning and nothing is keeping her happy except sleeping in my arms, so with great dedication to this blog, I am updating it with one hand.

Happy Turkey Day!

This was Addie's first Thanksgiving. She celebrated it with her mom and dad, her uncle Dan, grandma Eva, Uncle Doug and Aunt Alli here in Virginia. Here are some pics from t-day plus a few others thrown in.

The bird was 16 lbs unstuffed, so it was bigger than Addie and we wanted a photo comparison, but the perspective is wrong so she looks bigger. And she looks bored...ho hum, turkey shmerky....

Digital Camera + Baby = Sore Index Fingers

Addie is now almost two weeks old and we can't stop taking pictures of her...which is good, because people can't stop asking for more! Despite her continued love of sleeping, Addie has also started becoming so very alert, interacting with mom & dad and checking out everything around her. She also has quite the catalog of goofy faces, which we'll have to capture on camera...

Addie's friend Shannon took "look at me grow" pictures next to a stuffed animal so you could watch her grow up over time. We decided that babies look the cutest in laundry baskets (hey, we're constantly doing her laundry anyway...), so we'll check her growth against this laundry basket until she can start doing her own. =)

Notice the Georgetown Hoya booties. Seeing as how Mom & Dad met at Georgetown, Dad works there, and Addie was born there, it looks like she's destined to be class of 2029. We've got to start saving up!

Addie's first week

You hear that newborn babies don't do much besides eat, sleep, and poop. Well, Adeline is VERY gifted because she eats, sleeps, poops, passes gas, sucks her fingers, kicks her legs wildly out of her swaddle blanket, and enchants us with her smiles. Well, the smiles may be related to the gas, but we'll take them. She's also quite adept at dirtying her diaper immediately after Steve changes it. Smart girl ;)
